Heather Haight, Director
My dad emigrated to the United States from Germany in his 20's, moving back two decades later after my parent's divorce. My mom's family traces its roots to France, Ireland, England, Scotland and Indigenous people of this land and continent. I spent my childhood years in rural Maryland but have lived as close as Stockton and as far away as Germany. I'm constantly growing in awareness of history, ethnicity, culture, language -- their beauty and brokenness -- and how much ethnic identity development, racial reconciliation and systemic change is needed for God's Kingdom to flourish.
Thirteen years ago, I married an incredibly funny, gifted and kind-hearted self-proclaimed "man of mystery." :) We have two ever growing humans (our kiddos) in our life whom we're investing in as we also learn and invest, together, in the community around us. We love our neighbors!
It's been over 20 years of working alongside college students both on college campuses and then into the urban context through very short-term urban listening, learning & healing experiences. We need to lean in to loving God and loving neighbor on our discipleship journey. I love college students and cities!
I'm grateful to God for this journey, with incredible companions and collaborators who've partnered and joined along the way.
